Yasaka Kingdom

Yasaka
A bitter, cold country with walls higher than anyone could see through. Yasaka has always been known to be brash and irrational, but at the same time cool and collected, not reacting to provocations fast.
A part of Ova Kingdom long ago, Yasakians could not get past their pride as a superior - stronger race, and not even the kingdoms from other parts of Wesandran dared to oppose them. Ruled by a mysterious figure called The General, Yasaka remains a strong, mostly magic-military place. The trade here is stale and not many wish or dare to trade with Yasakians.
The other reason why Yasaka is so hard to reach is the Protector Mountains and to some extent - Brandish City, which stands as a tradeway between Soelin and Yasaka. People in Yasaka are vile and dangerous, and not to be messed with. The society here is starkly separated. The rich are really rich and the poor are slaves, even if not admittedly.
In the recent years Yasaka also opened a trade channel with the Fallenwehem, that travels right through the heart of Cresit Peak.

Golden Rapture
Golden Rapture is the only large city in Yasaka. Composed of low houses and markets, the city is mostly a glorified trade town. But amongst the hills of this town, stand deluxe houses that belong to the rulers of Yasaka - the rich.
The population in the upper classes of Yasaka is always elven, no half-elves or humans are allowed to mingle with the high society, except as servants. No servants are allowed to bear children from their masters - they are killed instead. The servants always live in the lower casts of the city, where they are stuck forever with no chance of escaping through the sea or the mountains.
Golden Rapture isn’t a big city - about twenty thousand people live in it, and about two hundred control the entire population. The army here is largely hired, since Golden Rapture can afford it. As the name suggests, they have gold and not only gold - gemstones and other valuable earth resources are at their fingertips through the mountains and the shores.
Golden Rapture is not a friendly city. It’s especially angry at all those who are less than human: orcs, goblins, gnomes, gith, tabaxi and many others. But life is no better for “halves” here either. Most of them are shunned and disrespected. It’s not like any of them have a choice - escaping from Yasaka is no easy feat. Mountains are filled with dangerous monsters and seas are filled with pirates and other horrors. Not many people try, and if they do they are usually doomed to fail.

Protector’s Mountains
Misty and dangerous, filled with monsters and animals beyond your wildest imagination, Protector’s Mountains aren’t for the faint of heart. But for many years now, Yasaka has managed to mine at the mountains and create a system of tunnels, relatively safe, running through some of the nearby mountains.
And still, towns or even villagers are far between the mountains, and usually ruled by local, greedy lords - or The Mining Guild. The servants who live within these towns aren’t treated better - in fact they are treated much worse. The mining hours are long and the work is dangerous, and causes a multitude of health issues for those who do it. The recent channels established between Yasaka and The Fallenwehem Empire don’t help either - the demand grows, but there aren’t enough servants to do the dirty work anymore.

Shash Rashante
While on one side Yasaka has access to a rich and diverse mountainside, by the sea awaits the dried land - a monument of war and time. Shash Rashante used to house a large city. It’s remains still stand within eternally scarred land, graced by the presence of mountains.
Many believe this place to be cursed, but some, like The Mining Guild, take advantage of that belief and go into Shash Rashante unrestricted, not afraid of anything - monsters, people or laws.

The Mining Guild
While the Mining Guild isn’t exclusive to Yasaka, the country is the Guild’s biggest partner and money maker. The Mining Guild was established some years ago, as a way for the countries to control the digging in the mountains, especially in mountains where territories between countries blur.
Most of the Mining Guild prefers more hostile, less restricting countries like Yasaka and The Fallenwehem Empire, but some still do various trades with Zerch and Soelin. Most miners don’t dare to touch the crystal mountains in Port Royalis.
On the outside, the Guild’s goal is to control the mountains and the trade. They are the sole monopoly and one of the most prominent mining companies established. But on the inside, the Guild is way more corrupt. To Yasaka, it’s a way to justify slavery and excuse their cruel behavior. To Fallenwehem, the Guild is a way to mine where no one else dares to, in order to find and extract information and artifacts, lost long ago.
